We’re extremely excited to announce our vegetarian and vegan menu collaboration with the one and only – Shivi Ramoutar!
Shivi has been dubbed as the ‘Caribbean food Supremo’. She loves sharing her childhood memories of Caribbean food and putting her own modern twist on these traditional dishes. It was very important for us to have a vegetarian and vegan offering that wasn’t just an afterthought.
Most restaurants now offer vegan and vegetarian alternatives, so we wanted to do something different. We want to deliver the Rum Kitchen experience and make it attainable for everybody. One of our favourite comments made by our guests is that we are their “naughty cheat meal of the week” – the reason they eat clean all week and therefore, get to eat guilt free at the Rum Kitchen. Vegetarians and Vegans deserve a cheat meal too and we think Shivi’s plant-based menu delivers perfectly. The dishes are layered with complex flavours that explore her Caribbean roots and are both warming and comforting – perfect for the weather outside.
